Sony to remove OtherOS?

This is pretty much a rumor, though it seems to come from a valid source, Owen Stampflee - Linux Product Manager at Fixstars Corporation. According to him, Sony will completely remove the capability of installing Linux with the next firmware update. However this is just a rumor, and as many others it can be wrong.
But if Sony is really developing (or has already developed) this firmware, the obvious consequence is that GeoHot's exploit could be dangerous for real. And this is a good news of course, because removing the Linux support is actually a quite wrong marketing choiche, as many users love to use their YDL as a media server or whatever. No one has come out yet with something concrete with the released exploit though, and the possibility of the new firmware represents a very hard shock both for the hacker community and the PS3 Linux community.
