Sony confirmed 3D option with new firmware

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has officially confirmed that a firmware update will bring the 3D option to the PS3. Nainan Shah, SCEE, assured that the firmware update is going to be released within the next summer under the version code 3.20.
As of today the rumor of the OtherOS block appears to remain a mere rumor, according to our sources. Sony hasn't mentioned anything that could even remotely lead to think to the OtherOS removement, so apparently the hacker community has long time to work something out.
